How do task automations work?

Automations are no-code “when this, do that” rules. The trigger is either a task being created or a task moving into a status you pick. The actions are: set priority, assign a teammate, create a follow-up task, or send a notification. Rules run the instant a task changes and can be switched on or off. They’re managed under Settings → Automations.
