Two kinds of payment
There are two separate money flows in Kliently, and it's worth being clear about both:
- Your Kliently subscription — what you pay us to use the product. This is billed by Kliently through Stripe.
- Payments from your clients — money your clients pay you for invoices. This flows through your own connected gateways directly to your accounts. Kliently never holds, touches, or takes a cut of your client funds.
Subscription billing
- Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual cycle via Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled.
- Your subscription start date sets your renewal date. Annual plans are charged once for the year.
- We accept the cards and wallets Stripe supports in your region. Your card details are stored and processed by Stripe, not by Kliently.
- Receipts are emailed automatically and are available in Settings → Billing.
Collecting from your clients
Kliently lets your clients pay invoices through the rails you enable. Funds settle to your gateway account on that provider's schedule — Kliently is the software layer, not the money custodian.
- Stripe — cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay (global).
- SSLCommerz — bKash, Nagad, Rocket, and cards (Bangladesh).
- Razorpay — UPI, cards, and netbanking (India).
- PayPal — PayPal balance and cards (global).
- Manual / bank transfer — record off-platform payments with your own instructions.
Each gateway charges its own processing fees and operates under its own terms; those fees are between you and the provider.
Currencies & exchange rates
You can invoice clients in their currency — Kliently supports a broad set of currencies with rates synced daily for display and reporting. The actual settlement currency and any conversion is governed by the gateway that processes the payment.
Taxes
Subscription prices are shown exclusive of tax; we add VAT, GST, or sales tax where we're required to collect it, based on your billing location. For invoices you send to your clients, you are responsible for charging and remitting the correct taxes — Kliently gives you the fields to do so but does not file taxes on your behalf.
Failed & late payments
If a subscription charge fails, we'll retry over several days and notify you so you can update your payment method. If it remains unpaid, paid features may be paused until billing is resolved; your data is retained per our privacy policy. For client invoices, Kliently can send automatic reminders, but collection is ultimately between you and your client.
Payment security
Kliently never stores raw card numbers or bank credentials — those are handled by PCI-compliant gateways. Any provider secrets you connect (API keys) are encrypted with AES-256-GCM at rest and decrypted only in memory to make a call you initiated. See our security page for details.
Disputes & chargebacks
Chargebacks and disputes on client payments are handled through the relevant gateway's process, since the funds and the cardholder relationship sit with that provider. Kliently provides the invoice and signature evidence that helps you respond. Disputes about your Kliently subscription should be raised with us first at support@kliently.app — see also our refund policy.
